Life is not always going to be blessings on blessings…sunshine, tulips, and soft melodies floating in the breeze. Sometimes, we are Hagar in a world filled with Sarais. The Egyptian servant, Hagar, did not ask for the encounter with Abram. It was Sarai’s idea. As a result, Hagar became pregnant. Sarai became outraged and abused her, which caused Hagar to run away. God spoke to Hagar, told her to return, and He would provide for her. Approximately thirteen years later, Sarai put her and her son out into the desert without provision. God came through for them again. (Read the full story in Genesis 16 and 21)
In the midst of the hurt and rejection, know that God will provide for you, as well.
There are things in life that we didn’t ask for, but since we have them, we made the best of them. We were planted there, grew, and produced great things. Now, people see us as a threat; they are talking about us and have discarded us like trash. Rest assured: God is on our side. God sees! No matter what they say or do, God is present.
Cast self-pity to the side. Stand tall, and powerfully positive in your purpose!
God sees.
